This video shows clips from Pixar's "Monsters, Inc" and a Looney Tunes cartoon starring the character duo of "Marc Anthony and Pussyfoot". The two cartoons share a very similar scene, as this video shows. I do not know if the makers or 'Monsters, Inc' were referencing the Warner Bros. cartoon.
